SUMMARY:CCHS Pet Pals Discovery Day
DESCRIPTION:The Chautauqua County Humane Society is excited to welcome families to Pet Pals Discovery Day\, a joyful\, hands on event\, that is FREE to the community\, created to help children learn how to keep pets safe\, healthy\, and cared for. This special day reflects the heart of our mission to empower the community to improve the lives of animals\, and we believe one of the most meaningful ways to do that is by inspiring the next generation of compassionate caretakers. \nPet Pals Discovery Day will take place on Saturday\, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union Training Center\, located at 110 Mall Boulevard in Lakewood. The event is completely free to the public\, and families are encouraged to drop in\, explore\, and enjoy as many activities as they like. \nChildren will be invited to explore the world of animal care through playful activities\, creative projects\, and interactive learning stations that make kindness and responsibility feel natural and fun. Kids can try the dog bowl toss\, create and make their own buttons\, and enjoy the photo booth station. There will also be opportunities to paint their own paw print boxes\, and prizes. \nWe are thrilled to welcome local author Rebekah Sorenson\, who will share story time readings of her books If I Were a Skunk and If I Were a Porcupine at 1pm and 2pm. Her stories invite children to imagine the world through the eyes of the animals they love\, helping them build empathy and understanding in a way that feels lighthearted and engaging. \nEvery part of Pet Pals Discovery Day is designed to help kids understand what pets need to feel safe\, comfortable\, and cared for\, and to show them how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of animals at home and throughout our community. We hope families will join us for a day filled with creativity\, learning\, laughter\, and heart as we work together to inspire young animal lovers and work to improve the lives of animals in Chautauqua County.
