The couple has performed together at festivals\, music venues and events in Western New York for over 10 years. They draw influences from many great vocal duos\, like Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash\, Simon and Garfunkel\, and Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. Their music style includes classic country\, rock\, bluegrass\, blues and folk (more easily described as Americana music).“Meet the Bacons” have a sound composed of charming vocal harmonies backed with guitar\, harmonica\, and hand percussion (tambourine\, shakers\, etc.). They write and perform their own songs as well as songs by other artists that have intrigued and inspired them over the years. Their own songs include stories about New Orleans Street parades\, loves cherished and abandoned\, memories sparked by misplaced funeral cards\, disconnected veterans of war\, blues of the working musician\, rye whiskey woes and the colorful summer dresses of a true love. Meet outside of the Recreation Hall.
