SUMMARY:Mayville Coastal Kayaking Workshop
DESCRIPTION:If you are an intermediate level kayaker and would like to get more comfortable in coastal conditions\, or in helping others do the same\, this training event is for you! \nThis five-day workshop will take place in cozy Chautauqua County\, NY. Based on conditions\, we have several paddling venues to choose from\, on both Chautauqua Lake and Lake Erie\, allowing us to find suitable conditions whatever the weather decides. \nThese locations provide an excellent venue for intermediate paddlers to learn and practice strokes and rescues\, as well as safely manage movement through open water challenges such as mild-to-moderate waves\, surf\, and current. You will have access to several Coastal and Open Water Instructors\, which means lots of individual attention. \nSkills students\, Leader candidates\, and Instructor candidates are all welcome and invited\, and will have the opportunity to earn\, the appropriate Level 2-3 Assessment or Certification. We will be working on specific skills in a specific set of conditions defined as “Level 2 to 3” and everyone’s goals will be their own. We are here to provide coaching and assessment to help you move closer to\, or achieve\, those goals. \nRESERVATIONS REQUIRED. SUMMARY:Wilderness Canoe Trip 2027
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to announce our fourth-annual wilderness paddling adventure – a trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness! This trip will be 8 days of canoeing\, camping\, portaging (carrying canoes and packs over trails that connect one lake to another)\, and fishing. This will be some of the most beautiful and remote earth (and water!) in the US\, and the memories and lessons will last a lifetime! \nMike has guided/completed 40+ wilderness canoe trips over the years — mostly in the Boundary Waters & Quetico — and has been thrilled to rekindle this annual tradition.
