SUMMARY:Sunset Paddle on Chautauqua Lake
DESCRIPTION:This weekly Moonlight Paddle is a favorite event! We launch from 16 Water St. (Our new location) in time to enjoy a beautiful sunset over Chautauqua Lake\, and hope to see a lovely moon rise before we return to shore for a social gathering. We encourage everyone to bring snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) to share as we enjoy the rest of the evening with fellow paddlers. Please register on our website or call 716-763-2266. It’s important we know how many participants to expect\, even if you have your own gear. If you need to rent gear from us\, the cost is $25 plus tax and fees for a single kayak or $35 plus tax and fees for a tandem or canoe. The paddle is $5 plus tax and fees if you have your own gear!

DESCRIPTION:This rescues course introduces essential flatwater safety practices and rescue techniques that can be performed with a minimum of equipment\, in the first few minutes of an emergency. We will work on solo and assisted rescues\, including but not limited to: paddle float rescue\, the scramble (aka cowboy/cowgirl)\, T-rescue\, bow/stern rescues\, paddle shaft rescue \nThe class runs from 10am until 4pm.
