Summer is right around the corner, and if you’re a parent in Chautauqua County, you are already thinking, “What Are We Doing This Summer?” The good news is that there is no shortage of incredible options to keep your kids active, engaged, and making memories all summer long.
Whether you’re looking for a traditional overnight camp experience, a structured weekly day program to help working families keep their schedule, a nature-focused adventure, or a creative arts experience, Chautauqua County has something for every kid and every family. We’ve done the research, so you don’t have to! Here’s everything you need to know about summer camps and programs available right here in Chautauqua County and beyond!
Day Camp at the Y: The Jamestown Area YMCA is excited to offer another fun and engaging Summer Day Camp program for children ages 5–11. Our camp provides a safe, supportive environment where kids can explore new activities, build friendships, and create lasting memories. Each week features a unique theme, exciting activities, swimming, and a field trip designed to keep campers active, learning, and having fun all summer long. YMCA day camp focuses on developing the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while giving kids a place to grow, play, and belong. This camp runs M-F starting June 29th through August 21st.
Youth Resident Camps: Campers enjoy daily activities such as swimming, boating, sailing, challenge course, arts, sports, adventure, “Choice,” hikes, campfires, and much more. Each week delivers a fun sub-theme, forest hiking, Teen Camp, and two-week Leadership Training (LIT) sessions. The 2026 season runs from June 14th to August 19th.
Joheh-Goh Summer Youth Day Camp: This program offers week-long day camping sessions running M-F. Join us outdoors for fun activities at our 170-acre lakefront site nestled on the beautiful Lake Chautauqua. Breakfast and lunch are included daily. The 2026 season runs from June 29th to August 14th.
Yowidica Overnight Camp: An overnight session for youth with manageable Type I Diabetes is available with all traditional activities and specialty medical and nutrition staff assisting the program. This camp is tuition-free, thanks to the Big Fish Triathlon Fundraiser. Contact office@onyahsa.org for inquiries. This camp runs June 28th through July 4th.
Resource Center Overnight Camp: This overnight program is designed for adults with developmental disabilities and is offered in collaboration with the Resource Center of Jamestown. This camp runs June 9th through June 12th.
Kids and Sibs Day Camp: Created by special educators and parents, Kids and Sibs strives to meet the needs of youth with varied abilities while providing special support, good coping mechanisms, confidence-building, and fun for them and their siblings. A full array of developmentally-appropriate activities is planned. This camp runs August 20th through August 21st.
Rates & Financial Aid: These rates reflect the cost of providing high-quality residential camp experiences and are approximately half the tuition of YMCA camps nationally. Tiers 2 and 3 are subsidized by fundraising and are only available to Chautauqua County residents.
Children’s School: Children’s School is a developmental preschool for youth ages 2 years and 8 months to 5 years old. The program includes a wide range of social, recreational and educational activities. Weekly themes often incorporate other Chautauqua programs in the areas of music, drama and art. Program hours are 9 AM to 12 PM.
Group One: Group One is designed for children who are 6 years old or will enter first grade in the fall. It serves as a transition between Children’s School and Boys’ and Girls’ Club. The program includes active play, arts activities, swimming instruction and waterfront activities, nature programs, and special events. Children remain with the same teachers/counselors throughout the day. Program hours are M-F 9 AM to 12 PM & 2 PM to 4 PM.
Boys’ and Girls’ Club: Participants in the Boys’ and Girls’ Club program are grouped according to the grade they will be entering in the fall (e.g. Group 4 for children entering 4th grade) and gender. Families will select which group, boys or girls their camper is enrolled in during registration. The oldest group at Club is called SAC (Senior Athletic Club, a traditional name dating to the earliest days of the program) and serves those youth entering the 9th and 10th grades. Staffing ratios are aligned to New York State regulations for Licensed Children’s Camps. Program hours are M-F 9 AM to 12 PM & 2 PM to 4 PM.
Summer Day Camp 2026: Day Camp is designed for children in pre-K through grade 9 to explore the natural world. Structured and unstructured activities and play create a well-rounded, free-choice experience for all children. Check the camp brochure for information about their Free Exploration, Speciality, Offsite, and Deep & Sticky Learning Camps! Program runs June 23rd through August 14th.
Youth Summer Camps: Youth Summer Camps are very interesting, and they are the most awaited summer events with a lot of exciting activities. All you have to do is book your slots with us. Programs run June 28th through August 15th.
Adult and Family Camps: Our camps are not just for the youth but also for adults and families. You can visit us as a family and spend your time here in our weekend and summer camps. Programs run June 5th through September 27th.
Youth Weekend Camps: Our Youth Weekend Camps are very interesting to attend and easy to enroll. Contact us to book your trip or sign up for an upcoming camp session. The next camp is September 18th through 20th.
Variety of Camps for all Ages: Offering camps for kids in 1st to 12th grade, there is an opportunity for everyone to experience camp at Lake Chautauqua! Click the link to check out each specific camp for each age group and their Family & Alumni that starts the season. Camps run June 28th through August 7th.
Christian Summer Camps: Our Christian summer camp includes a variety of options—from energetic day camps to immersive overnight experiences. Each program is designed to help campers build friendships, grow spiritually, and experience the joy of authentic community. Upcoming Events: You can experience a variety of different events and retreats, including their upcoming Summer Send Off Family Weekend August 21st through August 23rd.
2026 Summer Camps: We’re welcoming campers for the summer of 2026. This year’s theme is, “God said it… that settles it.” Join us this summer and learn more about God’s good plan for you. We offer youth camps, teen camps, soccer day camps, paintball events, servent days, camp science fair, and wrap it up with a game night! Programs run June 13th through August 28th. Summer 2026 Day Camp: Summer is coming and Camp Hiak Tilikum is ready to go! With 7 weeks of fun activities and great learning opportunities, it will be a summer to remember. Click the link to fill out the registration form or contact the club. This program runs June 29th through August 14th.
Summer Camp 2026: Healthy Kids is not just another childcare provider. We are one of the fastest-growing providers of Early Learning, Before and After School, and Summer Camp Programs with over 150 locations in 13 states. This program runs July 6th to August 21st from 7 AM – 6 PM.
Summer Day Camp 2026: TRZ Summer Day Camp Program was created to provide daily child care for the summer months for children in going into grades K-6. The program meets Monday-Friday from 7 AM – 5:30 PM and runs June 29th to August 28th.
Summer Camps 2026: Summers here at Bethany Camp are unforgettable! An engaging program and activities, delicious food, and Christ centered chapels are what help to enable us to provide an experience everyone will enjoy at our summer camps! The camps run June 28th to July 24th.
Summer Youth Camp: Youth Ages 5-11 Start their day with fun, exciting activities including paddling, swimming, boogie boarding, nature walks, beach games and more! This camp runs July 6th to July 10th from 9 AM – 11 AM and is located at Sunset Bay in Irving, NY.
Miracle Mountain Ranch: Summer Camp at Miracle Mountain Ranch! We would love for you to join us for a week or more of our exciting Summer Camp here. We host tons of camps for various interests and differing age groups throughout the summer. Camps start as early as June 17th!
Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet: An introduction to the magical world of ballet for girls and boys. The students’ day includes an age appropriate ballet class, use of pantomime on stage, story time featuring the stories of famous ballets, snack time, and a rehearsal to prepare for the demonstration at week’s end. There are two different camps for ages 3-4.5 years old ad 4.5 to 6 years old. This program runs July 13th to July 17th.
Jamestown Area Youth Football Camp: The Jamestown Area Youth Football Camp will run from June 29th–July 2nd from 11:00-1:00 at Strider Field. The camp is open to all athletes ages 5–12. We are excited to once again partner with the Jamestown Youth Speed Camp, which will take place 9:00–10:30 AM on the same dates (speed camp is a separate camp).
NY Stingers Summer Baseball Camp (Chaffee, Erie County): We’re pumped you’re joining us! Get ready for a fun week of learning, hustle, and building that Stingers grit. This camp runs July 6th to July 23rd from 10 AM – 2 PM with different age groups each week.
