DESCRIPTION:Girls in Manufacturing is a one-day hands-on technical experience designed to empower and encourage girls to consider careers in manufacturing! \nDuring this event\, participants will: \n\nLearn all stages of the manufacturing process\nUse tools and equipment to manufacture a project\nManufacture a project that they can take home\nMeet women leaders in the area who work in manufacturing.\n\nThis event is designed for girls in grades 8-12 (typically ages 13-18). \nRegistration for the event here. \nDream It Do It Western New York offers equal opportunity programming. While the Girls in Manufacturing program is focused on females\, the program is open to all genders. Women make up about 47% of the American workforce\, but only 30% work in manufacturing. DESCRIPTION:On behalf of Dream It Do It Western New York\, an initiative of the Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier we invite you to participate in Manufacturing Mayhem Camp 2025. This event is for students in grades 8-12th\, generally students 13 years and older. Participants will learn about the manufacturing process\, tour a local manufacturer\, and create/manufacture a different project each day. Students participating get to build a project and take it home with them. Lunch will be provided. Participants also get a tee-shirt. It offers educators and manufacturers the opportunity to network and discuss challenges and solutions. \nFor participants representing schools\, this two-day program will provide you with information on the world of manufacturing that you can take back to your schools and classrooms. \nThe agenda includes: \n\nHands-on manufacturing experience using industry equipment\nNetworking with local manufacturers and educators\nWorkforce development discussions\nLunch and Dream It Do It Advanced Manufacturing Program (DIDIAMP) overview and discussion\n\nThere is no cost to participate in this event.
