DESCRIPTION: Light the Lake is a July 4th tradition on Chautauqua Lake. \nThis annual event is brought to you by the Chautauqua Lake Association\, with thanks to the many local retailers and lake friends who support our annual flare sale every year. \nPick up your flares today\, and let’s get ready to line the shores of Chautauqua Lake with a warm red glow. \nFlares should be lit at 10 p.m. on Saturday\, July 4.  Each flare lasts 30 minutes. \nThey are $3.50 each or 3 for $10\, with proceeds supporting the CLA’s summer in-lake programs. \nPurchase flares at the CLA office and the following locations:— Ashville General Store— Bemus Point Market— Chautauqua Marina— Peterson’s Farm— Hogan’s Hut— Lighthouse Point Grocery— Bridgeview One Stop— ROBO on 430— Lakewood Mobil Mart— Smith Boys— Chautauqua Brick Bemus Point— Stewart’s Hardware— TOPS Mayville— TOPS Jamestown— Wegman’s \nShare your July 4th flare photos with us on Facebook and Instagram: @ChautauquaLakeAssociation \n\nOnce your flare has burned out\, let it cool fully before handling\, as they can stay hot for up to 15 minutes after the flame is gone.
