A dedication of a brand new\, public mural\, featuring the artwork of Alain Welter\, will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday\, September 13 in Dunkirk\, NY. The Dedication Event will take place in the parking lot in front of the mural\, and along the 200 block of Central Ave\, which will be turned into a pedestrian-only street for this event. Stick around after the dedication to enjoy live music\, beer and wine\, face painting\, bounce house\, crafts\, and more! \nAnnounced in February\, Paint CHQ is a new initiative intended to help focus on the important role public art plays in placemaking and strengthening local communities. For the inaugural year\, four communities have been selected to host the new murals: Dunkirk\, Falconer\, Sherman\, and Westfield.
