Drawing from established modern dance techniques such as Graham\, Limón\, and release-based contemporary practices\, students will begin to understand how the body moves with intention\, expression\, and control. \n𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞: \n• Breath-driven movement inspired by Limón technique\, learning how breath initiates and supports motion• Contraction and release from Graham technique\, building strength\, coordination\, and expressive range• Fall and recovery\, developing trust in the body and learning how to move safely in and out of the floor• Use of weight and momentum\, a key element in contemporary and release-based work• Alignment\, balance\, and spatial awareness• Floor work and traveling phrases\, helping dancers move fluidly through space• Musicality and rhythm through structured and creative exercises \nAlongside technique\, students will engage in guided improvisation and simple choreography\, encouraging creativity\, confidence\, and self-expression. \nAt Sukanya Burman Dance (SBD)\, our approach is unique.
