DESCRIPTION:Starting Wednesday\, July 1st\, we’re opening the doors to a new weekly comedy open mic at Wicked Warren’s Jamestown. \nEvery Wednesday from 7PM to 9PM\, we’ll be upstairs on the 3rd floor in the new ballroom\, bar\, and stage area\, trying to do something simple and weirdly important: \nBuild the local comedy and art scene back up from the floorboards. \nThis is a comedian-focused open mic\, but all art is welcome. Comedy\, poetry\, storytelling\, music\, strange little performance experiments\, something you wrote on a napkin in a parking lot while your life briefly became a weather event. Bring it up. \nSign ups start at 6:30PM. \nEach performer gets 8 minutes. \nThere will be a 15 minute hard cap if the night allows for longer pieces\, but please plan for 8 unless told otherwise. \nIf you need anything beyond a mic\, stage\, and PA\, please let Paul Clemente know ahead of time. \nIf you want to sign up in advance\, let Paul Clemente know. \nIf you don’t know Paul Clemente\, get to know him. In addition to the permit\, vendors located outside the City of Jamestown must pay a $60 fee payable to the City of Jamestown. Vendors located within Jamestown are exempt from this fee. \nVendors should submit their permit and payment directly to the City of Jamestown. \nPLEASE NOTE: Vendors cannot participate in the event unless this permit requirement has been completed. \nThanks for grant funding\, the CHQ Chamber will not charge additional vendor fees for this event series.
