SUMMARY:Lake Erie Wine Country: Cheers to 250 All American Weekend
DESCRIPTION:This year our nation celebrates its 250th birthday and what better way to celebrate this milestone than with a trip to Lake Erie Wine Country for wine and food tastings that celebrate America. \nEach winery will feature an American-inspired food with a special chosen wine to pair with the selection. In addition\, your ticket entitles you to a wine tasting\, opening the door to wines you may not have tried or extending an invitation to become reacquainted with a taste you enjoyed before. \nAnd\, as a way of saying thanks to you for visiting us\, each two or three day wine tasting ticket holder will get a Lake Erie Wine Country wine glass as a keepsake from your visit. \nWe will also be offering a mocktail ticket for our guests who choose not to consume alcohol on their visit with us. Each winery will offer a mocktail for the ticket holder and will also receive the food pairing. The mocktail ticket does not include the wine glass.

SUMMARY:25 Years of Asking Questions: "A Republic\, If You Can Keep It"
DESCRIPTION:Benjamin Franklin’s famous challenge\, “a republic\, if you can keep it”\, feels especially urgent today. Join us for a timely conversation about the health of democracy: the pressures it faces\, the sources of resilience\, and the practical steps citizens and institutions can take to strengthen civic life. In an era marked by distrust\, polarization\, and rising authoritarianism\, where do our democracies stand today? This talk examines Jackson’s warnings\, ideals\, and enduring belief in constitutional stewardship\, and asks how citizens\, institutions\, and communities can rise to meet this pivotal moment. \nAbout the SpeakerPeter C. Cohen is a seasoned attorney with more than forty years of experience in civil litigation\, appellate advocacy\, and legal writing\, with deep expertise in the jurisprudence of the U.S. Supreme Court. Over his career\, he wrote and edited more than a thousand briefs for courts at every level\, distilling complex constitutional questions into clear\, persuasive arguments. He also served as an adjunct professor of law\, teaching landmark Supreme Court decisions and helping students\, both American and international\, understand constitutional foundations\, separation of powers\, due process\, and the limits of presidential authority. \nMotivated by growing concerns about democratic erosion\, Cohen retired from active practice in 2025 to devote himself fully to researching and writing In the Supreme Court’s Own Words: First Principles for Checking Presidential Power and Preserving the Republic. The book reflects a lifetime of legal inquiry and a career-long commitment to the rule of law\, civic education\, and the Constitution’s role in safeguarding a republic of laws.

SUMMARY:The Music of Simon & Garfunkel
DESCRIPTION:Swearingen & Kelli recreate the music\, memories and magic of the most famous folk-rock duo of our time\, Simon & Garfunkel. \nAJ Swearingen has been performing this music for twenty years exhibiting a mastery of Paul Simon’s intricate guitar playing. His deep baritone blends perfectly with Jayne Kelli’s angelic vocals delivering a true tribute to the sound of the 1960’s Greenwich Village coffeehouse performances. \nThe duo is on a mission to share this iconic music to new audiences around the country. Both artists were heavily inspired by the great 70s singer-songwriters\, but their unique ability to channel the sounds of Simon & Garfunkel is immediately apparent when you hear them perform these classic songs live. \nBroadway World calls describes the show as “one of the most talented duos of today playing the music of one of THE most famous duos of yesterday.” \nSongs in the performance include: \nHOMEWARD BOUND\nMRS. ROBINSON\n59TH STREET BRIDGE SONG\nTHE BOXER\nSCARBOROUGH FAIR\nBRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER\nCECILIA\nAMERICA\nHAZY SHADE OF WINTER\nSOUND OF SILENCE\nI AM A ROCK\nTHE DANGLING CONVERSATION\nOLD FRIENDS / BOOKENDS\nONLY LIVING BOY IN NEW YORK\nAT THE ZOO\nPOEM ON THE UNDERGROUND WALL\nFAKIN IT\nWE GOT A GROOVY THING\nBLEEKER STREET\nSPARROW\nRICHARD CORY\nKEEP THE CUSTOMER SATISFIED\nFLOWERS NEVER BEND WITH THE RAINFALL \nHailing from Lapeer\, Michigan songstress Kelli first crossed paths with Pennsylvania native Swearingen over a decade ago at a songwriters club in Florida. \nAfter becoming fast friends and bandmates\, they eloped in Punta Cana and headed for Nashville\, where their music continues to evolve. This past fall’s release\, Build Myself Up From the Ground\, garnered features on The Bluegrass Situation\, Wide Open Country\, and Americana Highways\, who praised them for sounding “as good as John Prine with Bonnie Raitt on Angel From Montgomery.” \nSwearingen & Kelli have shared the stage with artists including David Bromberg\, Crystal Gayle and Kenny Rogers. Swearingen’s song “You’re Not Here With Me” was recorded by folk icon Tom Rush featuring Nanci Griffith on his album\, What I Know.
