SUMMARY:Silent Legacy Band - A Tribute to the Music of Melissa Etheridge
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for an afternoon of raw emotion and rock-powered nostalgia — Silent Legacy Band brings the unforgettable music of Melissa Etheridge to life with heart\, soul\, and unforgettable energy. \nAs Western New York’s premier Melissa Etheridge tribute band\, Silent Legacy delivers all your favorite Etheridge songs — from her early hits of the 1980s to her more recent work — with the same raspy vocals\, the classic 12-string guitar\, and that signature passionate delivery that made Etheridge a legend. Led by powerhouse vocalist Tara (who has been performing Etheridge covers for over 20 years)\, the band weaves together soaring vocals and tight musicianship for a performance that’s equal parts nostalgia and fresh energy.Fans say Tara’s voice “makes you feel the lyrics” — full of vulnerability one moment\, full of fire the next — and automatically draws you in\, whether you’re a longtime Etheridge fan or a first-time listener. \nSilent Legacy isn’t just a cover band. They are a tribute — meaning a carefully crafted\, deeply felt homage to the spirit and sound of Melissa Etheridge. Their shows deliver the emotion\, grit\, and intimacy that fans know and love. Whether you’re reliving memories\, belting out songs with friends\, or discovering Etheridge’s music for the first time — Silent Legacy Band promises a night you’ll remember. \nDon’t miss your chance to see them live … come celebrate the legacy in Lily Dale\, NY. \nMore information to follow.

SUMMARY:Lecture: Appreciating the Architecture of First Presbyterian Church at 100
DESCRIPTION:Constructed 100 years ago\, First Presbyterian Church of Jamestown reflects the growth and pride of a thriving community. Ralph Adams Cram\, the building’s architect\, was one of the early twentieth century’s most influential architects. He drew inspiration from his travels throughout Europe and from the Arts and Crafts Movement then becoming popular in the United States. This movement promoted the work of talented\, local craftsmen as opposed to mass production and industrialization. The church today\, as it did 100 years ago\, stands as a masterpiece of this movement and of the hopes and dreams of the community. \nDr. John Smagner\, an architectural historian who often attended the church as a child\, will engage listeners as he highlights the many details that make the church so special. With the support and commitment of the church community\, John wrote the successful nomination to place the church on the National Register of Historic Places. \nThe 2026 Fenton History Center Lecture Series features evening lectures between April and October. This event is free and open to the public. Lectures are held in the dining room at the Gov. Reuben Fenton mansion. They are also streamed via YouTube. Donations are appreciated to support the Fenton History Center’s mission to preserve local history and provide educational opportunities. \nThank you to our sponsor: Rodgers Land Surveying.

SUMMARY:Allison Hagan Artist in Residence
DESCRIPTION:Allison Hagan (June 19th – June 23rd) is a poet\, DJ\, and multidisciplinary artist born and raised in New York City. She moved away from the city for eight years\, only to realize she belongs somewhere after all. Her work explores existing in the middle between two worlds\, among other invisible things. She traverses eternal love\, collective memory and the quiet threads that bind humans together in a fractured society. She hopes to help people find a little slice of heaven when the world feels like hell. When she’s not writing (which is often)\, she spends her time in community\, thinking about power\, care\, and how we might build lives rooted in solidarity rather than isolation. Follow her on Instagram @allisucks.

SUMMARY:Opening Ceremony | Monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery
DESCRIPTION:Lily Dale Assembly opens its 147th season with a truly extraordinary week-long visit from the monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery — one of the most revered institutions in Tibetan Buddhism. From June 20 through 24\, the monks will be in residence at the Lily Dale Fire Hall on East Street\, where they will create a sacred Medicine Buddha Sand Mandala — an ancient ritual of breathtaking beauty and profound spiritual significance. \nThe sand mandala is one of Buddhism’s most powerful symbols of impermanence and compassion. Over the course of several days\, the monks will painstakingly construct the mandala using colored sand — and then\, in a deeply moving closing ceremony\, dismantle it and release the sand into Cassadaga Lake\, sending its blessings out into the world. \nThroughout the week\, visitors are welcome to come and watch the monks at work\, learn about the sand and tools they use\, and witness a tradition that has been practiced for centuries. \nSaturday\, June 20: \n9:30–11:30 AM — Opening Ceremony: The preparation and creation of the Medicine Buddha Sand Mandala begins (Lily Dale Fire Hall) — $55 \n5:30–6:30 PM — Community Picnic Benefit: Share a spiritual meal with the Monks in the Picnic Pavilion next to the Fire Hall. Hosted by the City of Light Spiritualist Church. $10 Love Donation — all proceeds benefit the Monks. \n8:00–10:00 PM — Performance of the Medicine Buddha Puja with Blessings (Lily Dale Auditorium): A sacred evening for healing\, well-being\, and peace — featuring Tibetan long horns\, trumpets\, percussion\, and meditative chants practiced during auspicious times to call in the higher powers of good. — $30

SUMMARY:Historic Tours: Jamestown's Hidden Alleys
DESCRIPTION:Tucked away from view behind respectable facades\, alleys were indispensable elements in American cities during the last half of the nineteenth century. The “impolite” realities of the industrial movement were hidden from Victorian society. Jamestown had 5 alleys – what are their stories? Learn about them on the Hidden Alleys tour. \nParticipants will meet at the Fenton History Center at 10:00 a.m. \nThe Fenton History Center conducts historic walking tours from June to August. The cost is $8 for members and $12 for non-members. Participants can pre-register online\, at the Fenton\, or by phone at 716-664-6256. There is a limit of 20 people for each tour. \nFor the first time\, we are introducing the Full Circuit History Pass\, which provides individual access to all of the Fenton Historic Walking Tours throughout the 2026 season. Each pass is valid for one person. The cost is $50 for members and $80 for non-members. \nThank you to our sponsors: Rodgers Land Surveying\, Ahlstrom Schaeffer\, and Weber Knapp

SUMMARY:Amy Misurelli Sorensen Artist in Residence
DESCRIPTION:ARTIST STATEMENT \nAs an artist\, I emphasize drawing as thinking\, with concentrations in printmaking and performance. Currently\, my media focus is in relief printmaking. Relief Printmaking is the process of cutting into a surface of wood or linoleum in such a way that all that remains of the original surface is the image to be printed. Printmaking allows me to make multiples of an image on a variety of surfaces and engages a larger audience\, much like performance. \nAs a contemporary artist\, my work is concerned with distorted images of femininity and sexuality imposed by societal ideals. My images are provocative and graphic and act as commentary on how women are viewed in contemporary culture. I am interested in current events: themes of female empowerment\, vulnerability\, and the resistance of patriarchy. While I play with adornment\, I chose to be subversive and challenge expectations of beauty. \nMy research and work are influenced by feminist theory and everyday life. \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nAmy Misurelli Sorensen (June 20th – June 27th) is a professional artist\, art educator\, and curator who lives and works in Southeastern Wisconsin. She is passionate about art education\, art histories\, and arts impact on communities. She is committed to curating and exhibiting her work in provocative exhibitions that challenge visual culture and explore issues in society\, politics\, and art.
