SUMMARY:Brix 4 Kix Fundraiser & Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Brix 4 Kix Fundraiser & ChallengeFrom Jamestown\, NY to Orlando\, FL \nI’m not just riding a bike\, this is igniting a movement. \nIn May\, 2026\, Brad is taking on an extraordinary personal and physical challenge: riding his bicycle from Jamestown\, NY to Orlando\, FL in just 5 to 6 days. That’s over 1\,200 miles of road\, grit\, and purpose. But this ride is about more than distance\, it’s about impact. \n Why “Brix 4 Kix”?Because 65% of American children lack proper footwear\, and we believe that every kid deserves a solid pair of shoes for school\, for play\, for dignity. \nBrad is riding to raise awareness and funds to change that. Your support can help provide shoes to children in need across the country. \n How YOU Can Get Involved: Sponsor a Mile – Every mile Brad rides brings us closer to our goal. Donate Today – Every dollar counts. No amount is too small. Exclusive Swag – Get limited edition “Brix 4 Kix” merch. Donate Shoes – Give new or gently used kids’ shoes and put a smile on a child’s face. Spread the Word – Share\, repost\, and rally your community. \n Follow the RideTrack Brad’s progress\, get updates\, and cheer him on as he rides from New York to Florida on our website and social media pages. \n Join the MovementVisit bradinspires.com#Brix4Kix26 \nLet’s turn miles into shoes.Let’s ride for change.Let’s give every kid a reason to run.

SUMMARY:Story Time @ The Lakewood Memorial Library
DESCRIPTION:We invite you and your little ones\, aged 2 to 5 years\, to Story Time\, where together we will explore new stories and themes every Tuesday and Friday at 10:30am. \nWe carefully curate a collection of age-appropriate tales that promises to transport children’s young minds to far-off lands and on extraordinary adventures. Through animated voices and interactive elements\, we aim to captivate even the most restless of imaginations. \nBeyond the joy of listening to stories\, these sessions offer many developmental benefits. By exposing your child to language-rich environments\, their vocabulary will expand\, language comprehension will improve\, and their cognitive abilities will flourish. \nThe social setting of story time encourages bonding with peers\, instilling early social skills and teaching valuable lessons in sharing and cooperation. \nAt the end of each session\, we welcome children to explore the fun offered in our children’s area from our diverse collection of children’s books to our interactive reading boat. So\, don’t miss out on this incredible experience for your child. Join us every Tuesday and Friday at 10:30am in the library gallery\, and together\, let’s sow the seeds of a lifelong love for literature and reading.

SUMMARY:6 Week Series - Building Blocks of Dance (3-5 Years Old)
DESCRIPTION:Building Blocks of Dance is the next step for young movers ready to deepen their understanding of how their bodies move\, while continuing to nurture creativity and self-expression. \nRooted in principles from modern/contemporary dance technique\, this program introduces children to the fundamentals of movement by exploring how the body works in different positions\, pathways\, and dynamics. Students will begin to develop awareness of: \n-How to move the body in upright and grounded positions (standing\, floor work\, transitioning in and out of the floor) \n-Alignment and posture\, helping them understand safe and efficient movement \n-Weight shifts and balance\, learning how to transfer weight from one foot to another or into the floor \n-Levels and directions\, moving high\, medium\, and low\, and navigating space with intention \n-Articulation of different body parts\, how arms\, legs\, torso\, and head can move independently and together \n– Transitions\, or how we move smoothly from one shape or position to another \n-Drawing from contemporary practices\, students will explore fluidity\, suspension\, release\, and control. \n\nBuilding Blocks of Dance serves as a bridge between creative movement and more formal dance training\, helping students understand not just what to move\, but how and why the body moves\, laying a strong foundation for their continued dance journey. \n𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬: \n𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬: April 28 – Jun 2 (6-week series) \n𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞: Tuesdays\, 6:00–6:45 PM \n𝐅𝐞𝐞: $70 for full 6-week session (sign-up is required for the full session) \n𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬: Shared online resources \n𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Scholarships and sliding-scale options available
