DESCRIPTION:Revitalize Dunkirk\, the City of Dunkirk\, the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation\, and KABOOM! have come together to construct a new kid-designed community playspace at Point Gratiot Park that blends play and nature exploration for children and families in Dunkirk and the surrounding community. Designed with input from local students\, the space will inspire outdoor activity\, imagination\, and a stronger connection to nature. \nIn order to bring Discovery Way at the Point to life we need to recruit a large number of community volunteers. There are a variety of ways to help at every ability level and you don’t have to be available for the entire work day. \nAll volunteers will be provided with a t-shirt\, breakfast\, lunch\, snacks\, drinks\, and all necessary tools. Please meet at the Brooks Pavilion to sign in. \nTo register as a volunteer visit:https://volunteer.kaboom.org/…/help-build-an… \n-June 2nd: 8:30AM – 3:00PM 20 Volunteers-June 3rd: 8:30AM – 3:00PM 40 Volunteers-June 4th: 8:30AM – 3:00PM 40 Volunteers-June 5th: 8:30AM – 4:00PM 60 Volunteers \nWe’re also in need of food donations\, a photographer\, a videographer\, exercise instructors\, and a DJ or sound system. We want to have fun while we create this exciting new attraction! \nThere will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Friday\, June 5th at 3:00PM with guest speakers from Revitalize Dunkirk\, KABOOM!\, Dunkirk Intermediate School\, City of Dunkirk\, and Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation.
