DESCRIPTION:Stop by this year’s plant sale to pick out some new plants for your garden! There will be a large selection of native plants\, as well as annuals\, perennial plants\, trees\, and shrubs. Plants are from local greenhouses and Audubon’s gardens. \nPick up some gently used garden equipment\, décor\, tools\, and pots at the ‘Garden Treasures’ tent. Volunteer Master Gardeners will be on hand to give advice at the advice table. \nAudubon will not be accepting plants for trade due to the threat of jumping worms\, an invasive animal that can decimate local soils. \nAll plants are $3.00 per 4” pot\, $5.00 per 6 – 8” pot\, and $10 per 10” pot. By planting native flowers\, shrubs\, and trees\, we are helping to provide critical food sources and habitat for declining populations of monarch butterflies\, bees\, and other pollinators. Native plants are adapted to the local climate and soil conditions where they naturally occur. These important plant species provide nectar\, pollen\, and seeds that serve as food for native butterflies\, insects\, birds\, and other animals. \nDid you know? All lands are part of a watershed. The water that flows across and through our lands feeds our streams\, rivers\, and lakes. \nDid you know? Rain washes chemicals and fertilizers into our streams\, rivers\, and lakes. Once in our waterways\, these pollutants fuel the growth of excess algae\, which clouds the water and threatens the health of fish and other wildlife. \nDid you know? Natural landscapes protect our waters by filtering stormwater and slowing the flow of runoff through our watersheds so it can replenish ground water rather than contributing sediment and pollutants to our lakes and streams. One of the easiest ways for us to reduce our pollution contribution is to replace some of our lawn and typical landscapes with native plants. DESCRIPTION:If you have coins you want to sell or trade or just learn their value\, or if you would like to buy coins to add to your collection\, you want to go to the Jamestown Coin Club Spring Show on Sunday\, March 29\, 10 a.m.–3:30 p.m. \nMore than two dozen coin dealers from western New York and northwest Pennsylvania will be at the Celoron American Legion – Herman Kent Post 777\, 26 Jackson Avenue\, WE\, just off Fairmount Avenue\, in Jamestown/West Ellicott\, N.Y. \nThese dealers will be buying\, selling\, and offering free appraisals of United States\, ancient\, and foreign coins. Coin supplies will also be available for purchase. \nDoor prizes are given away every half hour. \nRaffle prizes include a tenth-ounce $5 gold American Eagle as well as three silver Morgan dollars\, four silver American Eagles\, and others. \nWith the exception of December\, the Jamestown Coin Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month\, also at the Legion. Doors open at 6 p.m. and meetings begin at 7 p.m. \nThese monthly get-togethers include door prizes and raffles and are highlighted by an auction of coins submitted by members. \nAnnual membership is $10. Guests are welcome to participate at no charge. \nThe Jamestown Coin Club presents their Fall Coin Show on the last Sunday in August. \nFor more information\, call (716) 720-1591.
