Visitors will follow a guide through the luminary-lit Enchanted Trail to meet them. \nThis magical\, non-scary event is designed for children and their adults. Talking animals engage your imagination\, maybe make you laugh\, and teach you something about wildlife in the region. After the walk\, stop in the backyard to enjoy a campfire and music. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase. There will be crafts\, live animals\, and exhibits to explore inside the Nature Center. \n*Reservations for this guided walk are required. Walks go out every 10 minutes and last about 40 minutes. (Sunset is approximately 6:45 p.m.) \nSpecial Information: Dress for the weather. Halloween costumes welcome! Program happens rain or shine. We will accept any costumes all throughout the year so if you see cheap costumes at yard sales or whatever\, think of us! We will take them! \nNo costume functions or certain sizes are guaranteed. Most of these costumes I bought second hand stores\, were discounted\, or were donated and may be missing pieces\, ripped\, not your size etc. We tried our best. Feel free to try them again on/ inspect them before choosing one. \nOnce again\, anybody taking a costume MUST BE PRESENT. We simply don’t have enough costumes to have one family come in and say they need 15 different costumes for random people. \nIf you can’t make any of event hours\, I will set up by appointment times at my own convenience! \nHappy Halloween and stay safe out there!

DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in participating in a “Trunk-or-Treat” event at Long Point State Park? This is a free event that is open to anyone who would like to attend! The event will be from 1pm – 4pm\, 10/25/25. If you are planning on decorating your vehicle\, please arrive no later than 12:15pm on 10/25/25 to find your assigned parking space and prepare for the arrival of Trick-or-Treaters at 1pm. \nGuidelines:\nYour “trunk” can be simple or elaborate…it’s up to you. As you’re dreaming up ideas\, consider your trunk as the stage on which you will perform in your coordinating costume with fun scene settings and props. Need some inspiration? Do a quick search of “Trunk-or-Treat” on the internet and you’ll find dozens of photos that others have posted of their own cars and events. Please do not make your trunk too spooky or gory for younger kids\, and remember to keep the theme respectful and non-offensive. All weapon-like props are NOT permitted (guns\, swords\, axes\, etc.) If you’re not sure if what you want to decorate with is appropriate\, please contact the Park Office first! \nWhen selecting treats to hand out\, only store bought (pre-wrapped and sealed) candy/snacks/etc. are allowed to be handed out. Other goodies you may want to hand out include pencils\, pens\, erasers\, bracelets\, bookmarks\, stickers\, etc. Please be prepared to accommodate up to 300 children.
