DESCRIPTION:Doors open at 5 and games start at 6. \nLihem will be receiving a rib-graft jaw surgery. This will be his toughest surgery with the longest recovery to date. This procedure will require him and his family to stay in Philadelphia for several weeks. There will also be travel back and forth every couple of weeks after the initial surgery. This is a multi-step procedure with long term follow up care. We are looking to raise funds for the family for trave / stay expenses as well as time lost from work.Lihem is such an amazing kid who has touched many lives in his short 13 years. DESCRIPTION:CCVC friends and family! It’s that time again! We’ve got a full day of volleyball and raffles to benefit 19 1/2 month old Stefano and the Tantillo family. Stefano was recently diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). \nDMD is a rare\, but severe genetic disorder affecting muscle strength and function caused by the lack of the protein dystrophin. There are typically less than 200\,000 cases of DMD each year. \nThis diagnosis will require lots of trips and out-of-pocket costs for the family to travel to Pittsburgh to see Stefano’s specialist. We at the CCVC would like to help ease the financial burden\, but most importantly\, let Stefano and his family know that they’re not alone! \nThe format will be a solo or buddy blind draw. The theme will be ‘Dress Like Your Buddy’. Where possible (or if you’re signing up solo)\, please wear green as this is the color for DMD awareness! \nYou will sign up as an individual or duo and be assigned (at random) to a team of 5 or 6 (depending on total number of participants). All participants can hit\, block\, etc. The number of men and women on each team will be determined based on signups. \nThe Nickel Plate Depot will be hosting our event. There are two nets at co-ed height. Check-in begins at 11:30 AM with play beginning promptly at noon. Format will be timed games of 12 minutes. Determination for the number of teams making playoffs will be announced prior to beginning the tournament and will be based on the number of teams. Single/double elimination will be determined day of depending on the number of teams and what time pool play is finished. \nPizza is included and will be provided prior to playoffs. We expect to conclude play between 6:00 and 6:30 PM. \n50/50 and basket raffles will likely be drawn around 5:00 PM. DESCRIPTION:Camp Day is coming soon\, and many in our legacy markets know what it is all about\, but this year we are in Hornell\, where they don’t know what Camp Day is! \nEvery year\, we take a Wednesday to gather the community together and help raise money to benefit kids in our community. We send underprivileged kids to camp in Kentucky and Canada\, all expenses paid\, where they learn about growth\, teamwork\, and community! \nOn July 16 this year\, we will donate all of our Hot and Cold Coffee sales! Last year\, we donated over $15\,000 to help our kids! \nIn Jamestown\, Olean\, and now Hornell\, we are seeking individuals who are interested in visiting our stores and helping to raise money! We have had local politicians\, fire departments\, police departments\, local sports teams\, local universities and schools\, dance teams\, non-profit groups\, and more! \nIf you’re interested in helping us\, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our goal is to empower the youth in every community we are in\, and we are excited to reach new communities this year!
