SUMMARY:Bird Banding
DESCRIPTION:Bird Banding (All)\nPavilion on west side of ACNC property \nSaturdays\, April 25\, May 2\, May 9\, and May 16\, 2026\n7:00 – 11:00 a.m. \nNo reservations required. \nJoin ornithologists on the west side of ACNC on Saturday mornings April 25 through May 16\, weather permitting. Watch how they capture migrating and resident birds\, fit them with identification bands\, measure\, weigh\, and then release them. \nBird banding is an established technique used to discover details about the behaviors of birds. You can drop in any time between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to learn from the ornithologists exactly how it is done and why. If weather is too harsh for the safety of the birds\, the nets are not opened and an alternate date is chosen. \nSpecial Information: This program is open-house style. If the weather is inclement\, the nets are not opened. No dogs. \nBird banding gives participants an up close look at birds and science in action. You can participate on four Saturdays at Audubon on April 25\, May 2\, 9\, and 16.

Volunteer Master Gardeners will be on hand to give advice at the advice table. \nAudubon will not be accepting plants for trade due to the threat of jumping worms\, an invasive animal that can decimate local soils. \nAll plants are $3.00 per 4” pot\, $5.00 per 6 – 8” pot\, and $10 per 10” pot. Many local nurseries and garden stores donate to this event in order to provide a wide selection. \n$3.00 per 4-inch pot$5.00 per 6 – 8-inch pot$10 per 10-inch pot

SUMMARY:Women's Pampering Event @ Marvin Community House w/ Wine Tour
DESCRIPTION:Relax\, sip\, and glow. DIY pampering\, mimosa making\, charcuterie\, a private wine tour\, local business vendors & more in one curated women’s experience. \n Treat YourselfTreat yourself to a curated women’s day of relaxation\, connection\, and self‑care. This experience blends pampering\, wellness\, and a private wine tour into one unforgettable afternoon designed to help you reset and pour back into yourself. \nGuests will enjoy a series of gentle\, hands‑on pampering moments\, a licenced esthesian guiding you through the right skin care routines\, a short guided wellness talk\, light bites\, and a scenic wine tour through Lake Erie Wine Country\, and much more. \n Why Marvin’s House \nThe Marvin House is one of Jamestown’s most historic and meaningful spaces for women. Built in 1898 by Elizabeth Warner Marvin and her husband Robert Marvin\, the home was designed with intention\, beauty\, and craftsmanship — a true landmark of its time. \nElizabeth Marvin was a woman far ahead of her era. Active in literary\, musical\, educational\, and historical circles\, she believed deeply in creating opportunities for women to gather\, learn\, and grow. Living across from the men’s‑only Jamestown Club inspired her to dream of a dedicated space for women — a place where they could meet privately\, support one another\, and pursue personal and intellectual development. \nIn her will\, she bequeathed her home specifically to become a meeting place for the moral and mental improvement of women — a vision that came to life in 1951 when hundreds of local women became the first charter members of what is now the Elizabeth Warner Marvin Community House. \nToday\, the Marvin House continues to honor Elizabeth’s legacy as a warm\, elegant\, and empowering space for women’s gatherings — making it the perfect home for this curated pampering and wellness experience. \n LIMITED SPOTS \nThis event is intentionally intimate\, with limited spots to keep the atmosphere warm\, relaxed\, and personal.(20 people for pampering + wine tour) (10 people for only pampering) \n WINE TOURAfter the pampering portion of the event\, guests will enjoy a private wine tour through Western New York’s scenic wine country. We’ll visit three hand‑selected wineries\, each chosen for their welcoming atmosphere\, delicious tasting flights\, and smooth group experience. \nAt each stop\, guests will have the opportunity to explore local wineries\, with time to explore\, take photos\, and enjoy the company of other women in a relaxed\, beautiful setting. \nExact winery locations will be announced soon\, but every stop will be selected with care to ensure a smooth\, elevated experience for our group.
