Wilderness Canoe Trip 2027
We are thrilled to announce our fourth-annual wilderness paddling adventure – a trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness! This trip will be 8 days of canoeing, camping, portaging (carrying canoes and packs over trails that connect one lake to another), and fishing. This will be some of the most beautiful and remote earth (and water!) in the US, and the memories and lessons will last a lifetime!
Mike has guided/completed 40+ wilderness canoe trips over the years — mostly in the Boundary Waters & Quetico — and has been thrilled to rekindle this annual tradition. We have only a few more spots available, so get in touch soon!
Schedule:
7/24: Optional arrival date for best use of prep day on the 14th
7/25: Arrive by noon to Williams and Hall Outfitters in Ely, MN
7/26: Launch at the BWCA entry point we’ve chosen by 9:00 a.m.
8/2: Return to Williams and Hall Outfitters in late afternoon
Included in trip cost:
Canoe rental (includes paddle and PFD if needed)
Canoe packs
Tents (3-4 person, for best campsite fit)
Food (breakfasts and dinners)
3 nights’ reservation of bunk rooms at lodge
Permits
You Bring:
Lunches for 8 days
General camping gear (sleeping bag & pad, personal items, etc.)
(All gear is available to rent for an additional fee)

Trip cost: $1200 ($250 deposit if booked by 11/1/26, beginning 11/2/26 deposit 50% required to hold spot)
