Veterans Awareness Dog Ruck

Join us for the Dog Ruck Walk on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Long Point State Park in Bemus Point, NY as veterans, their dogs, families, and community members come together to raise awareness for veteran suicide prevention and remind one another that no veteran walks alone.
Hosted by the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Veterans Peer Support Program in partnership with the Suicide Prevention Alliance, this community walk is about connection, camaraderie, support, and honoring those who have served.
Bring your pup, lace up your boots, and walk beside a community that believes in standing together and supporting our veterans.
Important Information:
• Meeting location: Parking lot by the boat launch
• Veterans receive free admission into the park — please let park staff know you are attending with the Dwyer Ruck Walk
• Non-veteran attendees: $7 park entry fee
• Dogs on leash welcome
• All breeds and sizes welcome
• Open to veterans, military families, and community supporters
