Trunk or Treat at Long Point State Park

Are you interested in participating in a “Trunk-or-Treat” event at Long Point State Park? This is a free event that is open to anyone who would like to attend! The event will be from 1pm – 4pm, 10/25/25. If you are planning on decorating your vehicle, please arrive no later than 12:15pm on 10/25/25 to find your assigned parking space and prepare for the arrival of Trick-or-Treaters at 1pm.

Guidelines:
Your “trunk” can be simple or elaborate…it’s up to you. As you’re dreaming up ideas, consider your trunk as the stage on which you will perform in your coordinating costume with fun scene settings and props. Need some inspiration? Do a quick search of “Trunk-or-Treat” on the internet and you’ll find dozens of photos that others have posted of their own cars and events. Please do not make your trunk too spooky or gory for younger kids, and remember to keep the theme respectful and non-offensive. All weapon-like props are NOT permitted (guns, swords, axes, etc.) If you’re not sure if what you want to decorate with is appropriate, please contact the Park Office first!

When selecting treats to hand out, only store bought (pre-wrapped and sealed) candy/snacks/etc. are allowed to be handed out. Other goodies you may want to hand out include pencils, pens, erasers, bracelets, bookmarks, stickers, etc. Please be prepared to accommodate up to 300 children. We are not sure what the turnout might be, so better to err on the side of caution!
