True American: Prohibition Era

October 28 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
$10

Every “New Girl” watcher has playing “True American” on their bucket list, and the Fenton History Center wants to give our Fenton Friends a chance to finally play!

HOWEVER, the Fenton Family were Temperists, and our spacious yard, Walnut Grove, exists as part of the City Parks Department, which means, NO ALCOHOL on site… so logically…

We are hosting our first ever “Prohibition Era” version of “True American” here at the Fenton on the Anniversary of the Passing of the Volstead Act – the 1919 Federal Law that would provide the rules and enforcement mechanisms to carry out the 18th Amendment.

As such, this game is not only “True American” (aka, a drinking game that’s like life-sized “Candyland” plus trivia, and also, the floor is LAVA!), but it also runs just like a “speakeasy” – meaning you’ll need to be pre-registered to receive your check-in password to even be able to get in!

Players may be individuals or small teams (max 3 players per team), and must bring their own piece of lawn furniture to act as their “Home Base.”

Roaring 20’s Dress-Up is strongly encouraged, as your flapper, gangster, bootlegger or officer gear adds to the fun of the game!

Bring your friends, successfully smuggle and chug your “Bro Juice,” and evade the law in this one-of-a-kind adventure night brought to you by the Fenton History Center!
