The Great Helicopter Golf Ball Drop 2026

One of Labor Day Weekend’s biggest traditions in Bemus Point is back, and this year, it’s bigger than ever.

Join us on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 1PM-8:30PM at Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House for an afternoon of food, craft beer, live music, and one of the most exciting events of the summer, The Great Helicopter Golf Ball Drop.

While the party starts at 1PM, the official helicopter golf ball drop takes place at 4PM sharp.

Come early, grab lunch, settle in with friends, enjoy one of our 20 craft beers on tap, and spend the day with us before the big moment.

Here’s how it works.

Beginning May 1, golf balls officially go on sale for $50 each.
We sell 500 numbered golf balls, and you choose your lucky number.

At 4PM, all 500 golf balls are dropped from a helicopter onto a custom target hole right on the golf course.

If your ball lands in the hole, you win $10,000.

If no ball goes in, the closest ball to the pin wins the prize.
Simple. Exciting. And one of the most talked-about Labor Day Weekend events in Chautauqua County.

 Keeping the energy high all day will be Campbell Dawson, serving as MC, DJ, and Party Catalyst, bringing the fun, the music, and the momentum leading up to the big drop.

 After the drop, the party keeps rolling with live music from Skinny Moo from 4:30PM-8:30PM.
