Sensory Support for Parents & Their Child with Julie Matthews, OTR/L

April 25 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Learn about sensory differences, what they are and how you can help your child through 3 sessions, Understanding Sensory, Movement & Regulation, and Sensory Support at Home.

Registration required, call or stop in to register. This is a free, 3 part program.

Many children, especially those with sensory differences, experience the world in ways that can feel overwhelming or hard to manage. This three-part series will help you better understand your child’s nervous system and leave with practical tools you can use right away.
Session 1: Explore how children experience the world through more than just the five senses, including balance, body awareness, and internal sensations.
Session 2: Movement & Regulation
Discover how movement impacts the nervous system and how to use specific types of movement to calm, organize, or energize your child throughout the day.
Session 3: Sensory Supports at Home
Turn knowledge into action with practical, realistic ways to create supportive routines and environments that promote regulation and confidence at home.
If your child struggles with big reactions, shutdowns, or sensory overload, this series is for you. Gain understanding, tools, and confidence in supporting your child.
Every child will add to their Sensory Support bag each week and take it home with them after the 3rd session.
