n celebration of Native American Culture, the Seneca Nation invites the public to the annual Marvin “Joe” Curry Veterans Powwow that will take place July 20 and 21 inside the Seneca Allegany Event Center.
Gates open at 10 a.m. both days with the must-see Grand Entries taking place at 1 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.
For more than 30 years, thousands of visitors have come to experience a weekend of colorful dance competitions, spectacular regalia and sounds of jingles mixed in with chants and beating drums.
The Powwow is a signature event honoring Native American veterans while showcasing dances from across the country. With its beautiful pageantry, the event makes for an unforgettable experience of dance, song, crafts, artwork, traditional foods and socialization.
