Grief & Bereavement Talk

Grief and depression in older seniors are closely linked, with bereavement often acting as a major trigger for severe depression. This might be characterized by physical pain, low energy, and lack of motivation rather than overt sadness. Loneliness is a primary mediator, especially for those living alone. Depression is not a normal part of aging, though it is a common risk for those experiencing significant loss. On Wednesday, April 1st from 11-12:30, the library will present a program on this topic. Presenter Jamie Probst has ten years of experience in helping seniors cope with grief through his work with Hospice as a grief presenter/counselor. We welcome anyone to come to this talk whether the theme affects you directly or maybe you have friends that are experiencing this. There is no registration needed and there will be plenty of time to ask questions.
