Join photographer Mark Evans to view the variety of wildlife photographs he’s made during hours spent observing the lives of animals in our region.
In this busy world, most of us only catch fleeting glimpses of the natural world around us. Although each of Mark’s photographs capture only a single moment in an animal’s life, he is reward by the time spent immersed, watching, and waiting within their lives. The photographs become secondary. They are a reminder of having shared a stolen moment and are an excuse, as if one is needed, of being with these various creatures. In the recording of these moments, Mark has gained a greater understanding of their world.
The photographer, Mark Evans, has been taking photographs for 60+ years. While nature photography is his first love he also has a passion for sports and his photographs of all of the WAHS sports teams in action are published regularly in the Times Observer. When outside with his camera his favorite haunts include ACNC, the woods around his house, and in the area around Benezette where he spends time amongst the elk herd.
Join photographer, Mark Evans at 11:00 a.m. on December 5 to learn about regional wildlife through his amazing photography at Audubon’s First Friday program.
