Early Morning Paddle: Buckaloons to Wildwood

This one’s for all the early risers that like to “wake up with the Allegheny!”

We’ll meet at Wildwood at 6:30 am to load up boats on the trailers and head to Buckaloons to start. After unloading and a quick safety speech, we’ll paddle roughly 8 miles back to our vehicles.

This stretch of river is beautiful, passing by three federally-designated Wilderness Islands. It typically takes roughly 3 hours with a leisure paddle. Bringing your own kayak is always welcome ($20 shuttle, free if you purchased your boat at AO), rentals are available if needed ($40/kayak).
