Taught by SBD Company Dancer, Grace Gibbons, this 5-week introductory series is designed to explore the foundational elements of dance through simple, accessible movements. Each week, we will focus on a different “Building Block” of dance, such as bending, stretching, sliding, expanding, and more. These classes are perfect for beginners or those looking to reconnect with movement, offering a gentle and fun way to learn both common dance movements and new ways of expressing yourself through each category.
Throughout the course, we’ll engage in a variety of exercises that develop body awareness, flexibility, coordination, and creativity. The class will start with a warm-up to prepare the body, followed by guided movement explorations, all designed to help you find joy and freedom in movement.
Class is for teens and adults, no prior dance experience required.
