“The Nazi’s Daughter focuses on a lesser-told story, the children of parents, mostly fathers, who worked for the Third Reich and were necessarily Nazis. Growing up Nazi meant unasked questions, secrets, a lifetime of guilt. Gisela has settled comfortably into her senior years. Stories of her early years in Nazi Germany and its aftermath remain guarded and unspoken. No one has asked her about them. Until now. Jessica, her great-granddaughter, wants stories to include in an admission essay for college in Germany. As Jessica probes for information, Gisela struggles with what she will reveal.”
