On Wednesday, November 13th, we will be welcoming Mindy Nichols Wendell. Mindy published her first book, Light and Air in January 2024. It’s a middle-grade historical novel set in 1935. Much of the book takes place in a tuberculosis sanatorium, inspired by the ruins of the J.N. Adam Memorial Hospital in Perrysburg, New York.
Mindy resides in Western New York with her family and is a former English Professor at SUNY Fredonia. Spending all those years teaching writing and middle grade novels was the perfect preparation for writing her own book.
