2. safeTALK – 3-Hour Training- safeTALK prepares caregivers to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. safeTALK is open to anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience. Most people with thoughts of suicide invite help to stay safe, and as a safeTALK-trained suicide alert helper, you will be better able to recognize and act on these opportunities. However, if you have lost someone to suicide within the past 6 months, you may want to consider whether it is too early in your loss to attend this type of training.
