Join us on July 17th at 5pm for “Libraries Love Lakes”, an engaging program designed for families to discover the significance and ecology of Chautauqua Lake. Hosted in collaboration with the Chautauqua-Conewango Consortium (a Waterkeeper Alliance Affiliate), this event will include hands-on activities and an informative presentation to help people gain a deeper understanding of the lake’s ecosystem and their role in preserving its natural beauty. Participants will delve into topics such as water quality, aquatic habitats, native species, and conservation efforts. “Libraries Love Lakes” aims to foster appreciation for Chautauqua Lake and promote community involvement in safeguarding our freshwater resources. When is a lake more than just a lake? When you learn more about it and begin to love it!
