Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet Presents: The Nutcracker

Jamestown, NY — The magic of the holidays returns to The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts as the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet (CRYB) presents its enchanting annual production of The Nutcracker under the direction of Monika Alch.

Performances take place Saturday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 14 at 3:00 p.m. A special school performance will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m.

For many families across Chautauqua County, CRYB’s Nutcracker has become a cherished holiday tradition — a dazzling celebration of dance, music, and imagination that delights audiences of all ages. This year’s production promises to whisk audiences away on a magical journey filled with twinkling snowflakes, mischievous mice, and the unforgettable Sugar Plum Fairy.

The story follows young Clara, who drifts into a dream after receiving a mysterious nutcracker from her eccentric godfather, Herr Drosselmeyer. Her adventure unfolds with a thrilling battle against the Rat King and a wondrous voyage to the Kingdom of Sweets, where dancers from around the world perform in her honor.

In addition to the CRYB dancers performers include dancers from Patterson School of Ballet in Erie and The Studio in Jamestown.
